As a family historian I have a natural interest in cemeteries. While researching my history or adding memorials at Find-A-Grave I often find information, stories, and other tidbits that don't fit well on my family history blog, Apple's Tree.

I spend my summers in Oswego County, New York, not far from the cool breezes of Lake Ontario so many of the cemeteries I visit are located in central and northern New York. I particularly enjoy spending time in Ellisburg Cemetery in southern Jefferson County, New York. My personal research does take me to other places so you can expect to see items from wherever I happen to roam.

While there will certainly be many photographs of individual headstones my hope is to share information, stories and research tips for the various cemeteries that catch my attention.
